Joseph Fu is a Certified Public Accountant qualified in Hong Kong and the UK, and a Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He has served as a council member of The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong for many years and was the Institute's president in 2002 and 2003.

Joseph founded the firm to provide individuals and local businesses with access to professional accounting services. With over 30 years of accounting and financial management experience, he was named one of Hong Kong and China's top advisors by the International Tax Review in 1998, 1999 and from 2003 to 2006, and by Euromoney in 2002.

As part of a World Bank-sponsored fiscal policy project, Joseph advised China's Ministry of Finance and The State Administration of Taxation on tax policy issues.

Joseph is a member of the Appeal Panel (Housing), the Travel Industry Compensation Fund Management Board and the Inbound Committee. He was a lay member of the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal Panel from 2003 to 2009.

Sue Cuthbertson is a Chartered Tax Advisor and technical specialist, having worked with a number of international accounting firms, including KPMG and Deloitte. Her experience in structuring tax-efficient financing is the result of her time as Deputy Director of the Asset Financing Group of Deutsche Bank.

Before joining JFU Consultants, Sue was the Director and Deputy Head of Tax, Asia Pacific for Credit Suisse for 10 years. Altogether Sue has over 25 years of experience advising multinational companies on tax in India, Hong Kong, China and the Asia Pacific region.

Alex Hui, Advisory Partner

Alex Chi-ming Hui has many years of technology company management experience having worked for US and Greater China companies that developed and marketed products to top tier electronics companies in North America, Europe and Asia. His operations management experience includes engineering, marketing, operations and finance and his corporate finance experience covers venture capital, IPO, public offerings and mergers and acquisitions.

Alex is currently Chairman and CEO of Pericom Semiconductor Corporation, a company that he co-founded in 1990 and took public on NASDAQ in 1997. Pericom has headquarters in California, USA and subsidiary companies in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Taiwan. PTI, one of the Pericom group's companies, was recognised as the fastest growing IC design company in Shanghai in 2005. Prior to founding Pericom, Alex held senior engineering management positions at LSI Logic Corporation and R&D position at Hewlett Packard Company.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles. Alex also holds four US patents.

Grace Hui is an experienced management and operations consultant. She is currently a board member of Horton China, a management consulting firm with multiple offices in Greater China.

Grace has worked for PRTM, an international management consulting firm specialising in high-tech industries. Her responsibilities included consulting, training, team building and interim management. She has led projects in business planning, financial analysis, global service strategy, business process reengineering, high-performance manufacturing, new product development and enterprise system selection and implementation. Her consulting clients include high-tech firms in electronic, semi-conductor component and equipment and software industries.

Prior to her consulting career, Grace was a Product Manager at Silicon Graphics, focusing on new product development. She also developed manufacturing plans and led cross-functional teams to support production ramp-up at MIPS Technology and has held various technical and management positions at Raychem. Grace received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Hong Kong and a Master of Science and Ph.D. Degrees in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management from Stanford University.

Elsie Tse's experience spans more than 20 years in financial planning and operation, transaction due diligence, project evaluation, asset management and investment consulting. Prior to joining JFU Consultants, she was Senior Vice President, Acquisition of KaiLong REI Investment Consulting (Shanghai) Co. Ltd., advising leading international funds.

Prior to investment consulting, Elsie was China Regional Financial Controller of the Sun Hung Kai Properties Group. She was in charge of its accounting, financial and tax functions for operations in cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenyang, Hangzhou, Wuxi, Nanjing, Chengdu, Foshan, Guangzhou, Zhongshan and Jiangmen. She looked after real estate investments with GFA of 5.7 million square metres and asset value of HK$28 billion. She also spent 10 years with The Kowloon Motor Bus Co (1933) Ltd, a major company in Hong Kong, in its Financial Planning and Costing Department.

Elsie holds a Master Degree of Science in Finance. She is a fellow of The Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Roger Lee has extensive experience in audit, quality control, risk management, regulatory and corporate finance areas. Before he joined JFU Consultants, his last position was Assistant Director, Quality Assurance of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (Institute). He was responsible for the development of the Risk-based Practice Review Programme and conducted reviews of audit practices for the Institute. He also provided secretariat support in a number of disciplinary cases.

Roger is a fellow member of the Institute. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Master of Business Administration degree from York University, Canada.
